create a household budget 1

In this assignment, you will use Excel to create a household budget to help maintain control over your finances and see how your money is being used. If you use a real hypothetical example that resonates with you; you’ll end up with more insight and maybe even a plan for the future.

Conduct a short internet job search for the type of position you will be applying for once you have completed your education. Consider your work experience in this search. For example, if you have no experience in the field, please search for entry-level positions or the type of position someone with your background could reasonably qualify for. Look for three positions that include wage/salary information. Once you have found 3 job ads that include salary information, determine the average starting salary and use this as the basis for your household budget. (Glassdoor.com is a good site to view.)
Create an Excel spreadsheet of your own design to breakdown your household budget. List monthly expenses and monthly income. You will need to list your expenses for 12 months (so you should have columns for each month). Remember your expenses are not always the same every month (for instance your electric bill could fluctuate based on how hot it is). Be sure to format the expenses and income as currency using one of the formatting options in Excel. Do NOT use an online template. The designs must be easy and logical to read. You should start with a New blank Excel document.

dont worry about finding the job. i already have it. its a account coordinator from estee lauder in Miami and the average salary is $60,000 a year. and the budget cost you would add is a normal house in miami, a normal car payment in miami, cell phone, gas, cable, and credit cards. heres an example. i will be more detailed if u choose this aissgnment. but this is how it will look like in the bottom.

answer the the two questions below with full detail and make sure to pay attention to direction provided

Directions

Answer the two questions posed below. Answers must be typed in legible (12 or 11 pt.) font, double-spaced, and have margins of one (1) inch.

The exam papers should roughly be 3-5 pages in length; each answer should take about 1½ to 2½ pages to answer. Answer the questions as best as you can. (This is an approximation.)

Your answers should be concise, coherent essays that advance an argument, not just simply listings of bullet points.

Be sure to give references (including page numbers or dates of lectures) whenever quoting directly or using another’s idea, argument, etc. MLA, APA and Chicago are all acceptable citation styles. As usual, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanics of writing will be considered when grading exams.

deliverable 1 attracting the eyes of viewers competency identify and create sensory elements of visual media communication to attract viewer attention scenario

Scenario

You are a member of a committee at your child’s school. The committee has been assigned the task to design a flyer for the students to take home to their parents. The purpose of the flyer is to notify parents about the upcoming Field Day for all students. They have specified that it can only be one-page in length, and they have encouraged creativity to catch the eyes of the parents. Several parents wish to participate, so the leader of the committee creates a fun flyer competition. She asks that each person creates his/her own flyer and create a screen share to persuade the committee to choose your flyer. The screen share should visually show the flyer and include a verbal explanation regarding why your flyer will best attract the eyes of the parents. Since you are extremely creative, you know that in order to capture the parents’ attention and win this competition, you will need to use color, lines, balance, and contrast visual elements. In your video presentation, be sure to defend your visual choices to the other parents and members of the committee. You know that if you clearly explain why you chose each of these visual elements and how it best attracts the eyes of the parents, you could win this fun competition! Your presentation should be a maximum of 5 minutes

engl102 week 1 discussion

Tell us about your practical writing experiences. Have you taken writing course before?(Yes) Here, or at another school?(Here at APUS) Do you write for your job? For pleasure? What are your biggest concerns about this course, and what elements of your own writing would you like to work on over the next few weeks?

Classmate #1:

My name is Benjamin Stalker and I have always had a lot of fun with that last name. I live with my wife Rachel and we have a chocolate lab named Penny and a cat named Smokey. I have worked many different jobs from cooking to retail work to car sales. I’m always up for a new challenge and I like to learn anytime that I can. My passion is to work with people and help them through hard times, and I get a chance to do that through an organization called Younglife. My first 3 years with the organization I served as a volunteer leader I then transitioned into serving on my local committee for another 3 years. I currently serve as the committee chair for my county which brings me into working with other people at a regional level, and preforming annual reviews with and for the staff persons in my area as well as preform various office and financial tasks to keep my area running.

I used to work with my local newspaper group and reported on the happenings an a few local municipalities in my county. I have published approximately 80 articles during my one year tenure (turns out local news papers are not as popular as they used to be). I only quit when my commission fees got cut in half after getting cut a third a few months earlier, it was costing me more money in gas and time interviewing and writing then I was making per article. I have taken writing classes before. I have taken 2 thus far and thought I had all the english classes I needed already, but found out I was missing this one that is required.

I have no real concerns with this class. I just really don’t want to do another persuasive essay on some arbitrary topic, but I always do my best regardless of if I enjoy what I’m doing or if I’m doing it because something is required of me. I generally like to write, so I’m expecting to enjoy this class over the next 8 weeks.

Classmate #2:

As stated in the subject line my name is Vaughn Whitaker. I work as a designer for a private fire protection company based out of St. Charles, IL. My job as a designer is to design water based systems (wet/dry system sprinkler systems) in commercial and residential areas based on the scope of work in each individual contracts. Prior to working in the fire protection industry, I was enlisted in the United States Navy. My separation was just shy of a year ago out of San Diego, CA.

I haven’t taken a formal writing course (or any for that matter) since about 2011. For this reason, I can safely say my only concern for this course is being out of touch with formal writing. The most I’ve been required to write for the past decade has simply been email correspondences or letters of compliance for municipalities.

I will certainly say that the art of persuasive writing is the most appealing aspect of this course that I would like enhance in my own set of skills. A small portion of my job does require a slight bit of persuasion when it comes to intelligently influencing the contractor or owner that additional work may be required outside of the original scope of work. Typically, this scenario happens often. Most owners want to maximize the amount of work for the lowest dollar without really considering all of the code requirements set forth by the NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) and the International Building Code. Counter-intuitive I’m sure but sometimes convincing a company owner to spend more money on safety takes some persuasion.

I look forward to working with everyone over the coming weeks! Good luck.
