Citation StylesThe majority of your response should be your own original writing based on what you have learned from the textbook. However, students may also use outside materials if applicable. Be sure to provide a citation and a reference for any materials used, including the required textbook. The following points are designed to help you understand how to provide proper citations and references for your work:

  • Sources are listed in two places.
  • The first, a citation, is briefly listed within your answer. Thisincludes identifying information that directs the reader to your list of references at the end of your writing assignment.•

The second, a reference, is at the end of your work in the list of references section.•

All sources cited should follow APA style and provide enough identifying information so that the reader can access the original material

Use a standard essay format for responses to all questions (i.e., an introduction, middle paragraphs and conclusion).•

Responses must be typed double-spaced, using a standard font (i.e. Times New Roman) and 12 point type size.Word count is NOT one of the criteria that is used in assigning points to writing assignments. a- Positive space is best described as the areas in a work of art that are the subjects or areas of importance. Negative space is an area around the subjects or areas of interest. There’s never a positive without a negative, and the same can be said in art. Positive space refers to the subject or areas of interest in an artwork. Such as a person’s face or figure in a portrait, the objects in a still life painting, or the trees in a landscape painting.

Negative space is the background or the area that surrounds the subject of the work. Positive space and negative space work together to achieve balance in a composition. Without them, a work might overwhelm the eye or not activate the layout at all. To ensure that a drawing or painting is in equilibrium. You must always remember to plan the areas of negative space as much as you do the active space. the negative space is a key to art. You’ve undoubtedly seen it before, even if you didn’t know the name for it. Easily put, the definition of negative space is the area around and between a subject.

The art piece called Rubin’s vase accentuates negative space. In the middle of the composition, there is a symmetrical vessel also known as positive or activated space. Representations of people appear on either side of the vase. The curves of the pot create the illusion of a forehead, nose, and mouth. While the negative space itself has no defining traits, the hard edges of the vase. The contrast of the vessel to the rest of the image activates the area and allow your mind to fill in the blanks. The image below is of Rubins vase.

b- When it comes to art positive and negative space are both very important. This space technique is a great way to create balance withing your piece. These make up the composition of the piece, and overall appearance. I tend to think of positive and negative space as black and white for some reason, but that is not always the case. Positive space is what has to do with the subject of the piece. Depending on what you are painting the positive space will be completely different. Negative space is exactly the opposite of positive. While the positive space is the subject/what you draw, negative space is the area around the subject. Study.com says “The term negative space is something of a misnomer. It emphasizes the idea that the viewer constructs his or her own meaning from the image. Negative space is never blank. It is designed to support the foreground of the picture.” Which I found interesting because I would have probably considered negative space “blank” rather than being quite important as a supporting role. There were some cool black and white pieces where if you were seeing black as positive then you would see faces. But if you were seeing the white as positive then the subject became a vase instead of faces. This is an optical illusion known as Rubens Vase. Most optical illusions are just positive and negative space that is creatively placed/balanced in order to draw you eye a certain way. One of the cooler pieces I saw was one that if you look at it one way it is a duck, bu if you look at it another way it is a rabbit. When you see one the other doesn’t go away, but it shifts to the background.

    Designing Interview Questions

    1. Refer to Activity 3 “Data Gathering (Anderson, 2018, p. 315) and read the author’s recommendations for designing effective interview questions. Simply, the interview questions should:
    2. Be nonjudgmental. That is, they should not presume a particular response or make assumptions in the question, leading the interviewee to a desired position.
    3. Be phrased as open ended, allowing the respondent maximum flexibility in answering what is important to him or her.
    4. Follow up to seek additional detail where necessary, asking the interviewee to reflect on a particular experience if he or she shares general observations, for example.”
    5. Read Chapters 10-11 in Konopaske et al. (2018)
    6. Create a set of interview questions related to this week’s themes on groups, teams, conflict, and negotiation.

Interview 3: “Groups, Teams, Conflict, and Negotiation”

    1. Conduct your third interview by gaining insights into organizational practices related to work groups, teams, managing conflict, and negotiation tactics.
    2. Based on your interview with the manager, provide a preliminary diagnosis of the exiting norms relative to working in groups, developing various types of teams, managing conflict, and utilizing negotiation tactics.
    3. What evidence supports the manager’s explanation? Which theories, models, or concepts best explain what you observed during your interview this week? How do team and group work practices inform the organizational diagnosis you conducted so far? How effective is the organization in managing conflict among individuals or groups?
    4. Draft 1-2 culturally competent recommendations for change incorporating this week’s Organizational Behavior concepts (e.g., high-performing teams, groups, and conflict).
    5. What multicultural and international issues would need to be considered in the context of work teams and managing conflict, if this organization expanded globally?

powerpoint identification referral evaluation and eligibility for individuals with disabilities presentation

It is vital that special education teachers understand the process for identifying individuals with disabilities and involve general education teachers, special education teachers, administration, parents, and other experts. The most valuable part of this process is collecting and analyzing data through the Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes. Teachers will need to understand these processes, know how to follow the processes, and be able to articulate the processes to other stakeholders.

For this assignment, take on the role of a special education teacher at a K-5 elementary school. Your principal has asked you to prepare a presentation to inform new general education teachers about the basics of special education identification and referral, evaluation, and eligibility for individuals with disabilities.

Create a 10-15 slide digital presentation on the topic of special education referral, evaluation, and placement procedures.

    Within your presentation:

    • Review the RTI and MTSS processes and how they support students with and without disabilities who are struggling academically.
    • Describe laws, policies, and procedures regarding referrals, assessments, and placements for students who have, or are suspected as having, a disability. Include which individuals may make such a referral, and distinguish special education identification from a special education referral .
    • Identify rights and responsibilities of students being evaluated for special education services, their parents, teachers, schools, and other professionals within the evaluation process .
    • Include a title slide, reference slide, and presenter’s notes.

Your digital presentation should include graphics that are relevant to the content, visually appealing, and use space appropriately.

Support your presentation with a minimum of three scholarly resources, referencing all applicable laws and policies.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

    Psychological Analysis

Lynn ends Chapter 7 of Texts and Contexts: Writing About Literature with Critical Theory by stating, “Psychological theories ought to encourage you to be creative in speculating about the motivations of characters, authors, or readers” (2011, p. 200). How does basic knowledge of Freud’s theories (and other well-known psychological theorists) aid in critical creativity and bring about a potentially richer analysis? Support your assertions with clear reasoning and examples.

Your initial post should be at least 250 words in length. Support your claims with examples from required material(s) and/or other scholarly resources, and properly cite any references.
