I am friend of Rayan you can use the same requirements but the topic is different.

MY topic is DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FOR GERIATRICS.

I started writing the first two as DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FOR special consideration.(pediatrics and geriatrics). Then my prof asked me to be specific in Geriatrics only after that I wrote the other 5.

my five and two annotated bibliography is attached.

now you have 7 annotated bibliography articles (if you need the original article just let me know). you have to add the other 3. I use questions in my articles.

I hope you give me valuable work and good quality to keep continuing working together.

Literature Review Paper

A literature review aims to highlight the current state of knowledge regarding a topic under study. Literature reviews are comprised of secondary sources and as such do not report any new or original experimental work. The main purpose of a literature review is to situate the current study within the body of literature and to provide context for the reader. A literature review is not a summary but a synthesis of the material you have read. In this course the purpose of the literature review is to answer a significant clinical question.

Instructions:

Your paper needs to follow the following criteria:

  1. Choose a problem faced by clients in your practice area that you think is important and would like to learn more about.
  2. Use your knowledge of PICO to develop a well-build narrow clinical question. For example: In adult patients with total hip replacements (P), how effective is pain medication (I) compared to aerobic stretching (C) in controlling post-operative pain (O)? (the development of the PICO question should not be including in the paper).
  3. Write a five (5) page literature review paper on the standing knowledge of the chosen question.
  4. Include a minimum of five (5) journal articles, at least three (3) from nursing journals. However, make sure that the (5) journals are the one’s analyzed and synthesized in the results and discussion sections.
  5. The body of the paper should be made of the following titled sections: Title (introduction), Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  6. Provide a specific and concise tentative title for your literature review paper (You may use the results or at least the variables in the title).
  7. Abstract is not required
  8. Include a 1-page introduction of your topic (background information), the focus/aim of your review. The introduction should include a statement of the problem, briefly explain the significance of your topic study, and act to introduce the reader to your definitions and background. Must include your main statement (i.e. the purpose of this review is…{PICO Question}).
  9. The method section should include sources, databases, keywords, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and other information that establish credibility to your paper.
  10. The results should summarize the findings of studies that have been conducted on your topic. For each study you should briefly explain its purpose, procedure for data collection and major findings. This is the section where you will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of studies.
  11. The discussion should be like a conclusion portion of an essay paper. It serves as a summary of the body of your literature review and should highlight the most important findings. Your analysis should help you to draw conclusions. In this section you would discussion any consensus or disagreement on the topic. It can also include any strengths and weaknesses in general of the research area. If you believe there is more to research, you may include that here.
  12. Finally, you will need to conclude your paper. At this point you have put substantial effort into your paper. Close this chapter with a summary of the paper, major findings and any major recommendation for the profession.
  13. In general, your paper should show a sense of direction and contain a definite central idea supported with evidence. The writing should be logical, and the ideas should be linked together in a logical sequence. The ideas need to be put together clearly to the writer and to the reader.

health disparities in your community

For this assignment, you are tasked with addressing a health disparity in your community.

Healthy People 2020 (Healthy People 2020, n.d.) defines a health disparity as a “particular type of health difference that is closely linked with social, economic, and/or environmental disadvantage. Health disparities adversely affect groups of people who have systematically experienced greater obstacles to health based on their racial or ethnic group; religion; socioeconomic status; gender; age; mental health; cognitive, sensory, or physical disability; sexual orientation or gender identity; geographic location; or other characteristics historically linked to discrimination or exclusion.”

To complete this assignment, do the following:

  1. Identify a health disparity in your community and develop an intervention, policy, or program to address the disparity.
  2. Use the decision tree template from the Decision Trees lecture (download it here) or a different template that you create in Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or another flowcharting tool to show how you came up with the intervention/program/policy that will best meet the needs of your community.
  3. In 2-3 pages, assess which population with health disparities is present in your community and how the decision tree helped you develop the intervention, policy, or program for this population.

Some examples of groups that are susceptible to health disparities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Racial and ethnic groups
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) populations
  • People with disabilities
  • Transition-age youth
  • Young adults

A great resource for this assignment is The Health and Human Services Action Plan to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING WORD LIMIT REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that each and every assignment has its own word limit.

Key individuals and historical events have helped shape the field of epidemiology. Research the following individuals and their roles in shaping contemporary epidemiology:

  • John Graunt
  • James Lind
  • Edward Jenner
  • Ignaz Semmelweis
  • John Snow

Choose three of the individuals from your research. In a 1,000-1,250 word paper, describe the epidemiological advancements that were influenced by these individuals. Include the following:

  • Describe the disease and the event. Using descriptive epidemiology, discuss how common the disease was at the time, who was infected, when it occurred (time of year or season), and the mode of transmission. If the individual is not associated with a specific disease, discuss a significant disease happening during that period.
  • Discuss how the individuals influenced or advanced epidemiological methods and the process they used to describe and control disease. Discuss how their contributions helped to inform the definition of epidemiology. Consider whether they used qualitative, quantitative, or both types of data collection methods, and the approach they used to test their hypotheses.
  • Discuss how similar epidemiological methods have been used to understand one current public health issue (not one for each individual). Discuss the key research studies used to understand the risk factors associated with the problem or disease. Two potential examples include lung cancer (Doll and Hill, 1950) or cardiovascular disease and the Framingham Heart Study (Drawber, Meadors, & Moore, 1950; Kannel, 2000).

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

negative communication 1

100 word response to both. Opinion only. No references required.

I have written several negative letters in my career. Most recently, I wrote an email to my supervisor addressing all of the tasks I was performing that were not in my current job description. I expressed my interest in performing the tasks on a long term basis but only if I would be adequately compensated for my efforts. The additional work I was asked to do belongs to a coworker who is not meeting the standards of our organization and while my leadership decides how to deal with her, I was asked to pick up her workload. Even though I have the experience needed to perform my coworker’s job, our job descriptions and rate of pay are not the same. So, when I had to address the situation with my leadership, I chose the direct approach. I simply stated that I could not continue to work without being compensating for my efforts. My supervisor appreciated my honesty and offered me a higher paying position.

Having conducted numerous employee reviews, this topic reminds me of these messages that needed to be understood by the employee, and productive by the end. While not all reviews are going to be negative in nature, most will have elements of improvement needed by the employee, and likely the supervisor as well. I have found that framing these reviews in a sandwich method has always been an effective way to communicate where an employee stands, but also understanding where we both need to adjust in order to accomplish our best possible work. Beginning with the productive points of the employees work is the best way to start these messages, and work down to areas where improvement is needed. Even in the sections identifying where improvement is needed, it’s key to identify points in these areas where the employee is on point, or even excelling, while still noting the improvement needed. The end of the message should be about the methods that both employee and supervisor will employ in order to build on the momentum that the employee has already started. This provides a positive message about the needed improvement that will ease any negative discussions that come out of the information.

In my experience, this method works best, but still has it’s downsides as well. At times, I have gone too far into the positives of the employees work, and they walked away without a clear understanding of what areas they needed to improve upon. In the end however, the framework of these messages allows future discussions around the topics of improvement to go much more smoothly
