Instructions

In this unit, you learned how to determine sample size and estimate confidence intervals. For this assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that further explores these concepts. In your presentation, you must include the following elements:

  • a definition of point estimate, standard error, confidence level, and margin of error;
  • a discussion of at least three major methods of determining sample sizes, comparing the different methods; and
  • an explanation of the effects (advantages and limitations) of a small sample size, a very large sample size, and an adequate sample size on any research study.

Your PowerPoint presentation must be a minimum of eight slides (not counting the title and reference slides). Use graphics as necessary to support the content of your presentation. You must use at least two references. Any information from those sources must be cited and referenced in APA format.

i need help writing a 200 word journal about fire behavior

Process of Burning

This unit will cover some very good concepts. Some you may be familiar with, and some, not so familiar. One of the concepts you should pay close attention to is Pyrolysis. Below, is a graphic about Pyrolysis you will see in the study guide/lesion, as well as specific discussion about it.

Instructions

Our textbook suggests smoke inhalation is a factor in most fire deaths in the United States, especially those that result from post-flashover fires. The authors continue stating single exposure to fire smoke can have both acute effects (e.g., death, incapacitation, impaired mobility, and reduced clarity of thinking) and post-exposure effects (e.g., lung damage). Firefighters can experience chronic effects from multiple exposures to smoke, as seen recently with the cancer risk heightened due to smoke inhalation. Have you, or someone you know, experienced inhalation of the irritants in smoke? Was it involved in initiating a fast attack because of a trapped civilian or other reason? Have you ever initiated a fast attack with your SCBA mask not completely sealed, believing the positive pressure would keep out smoke and irritants? Why, or why not?

Your journal entry must be at least 200 words. No references or citations are necessary.

newspaper article assignment comparison

I ALREADY HAVE ALL THE SOURCES AND THE TOPIC.

For this assignment, you must find a recent (within the last year) news article (from a credible source – email me if you are unsure of a source) about a current event and write a paper about how the article relates to an event or era discussed in this class. This is not an informative paper, but rather you must use critical thinking to discuss how the current event is related to the history we’ve discussed and how it differs. Compare and contrast the present with the past using course readings, lectures, and outside sources (if necessary) to supplement your paper. Any supplemental sources should not be the main focus of your paper; your analysis of the newspaper article chosen is, and it should be obvious which is your main article.
