Scenario Information

As a leader, you have been tasked with building a team whose purpose is to recommend a new performance evaluation system. The current system is outdated and greatly reduces employee morale each year.

Instructions

As the leader of this problem-solving team, you are tasked with leading a high performing team. During the process of leading and managing the team, you have noticed things could improve, such as interpersonal and analytic skills. The company has asked you for a one-page report outlining the challenges of the team and your recommendations.

In your report, you will want to:

• Discuss interpersonal skills and analytic skills needed when managing teams.
• How do the different leadership roles impact the team process?
• Discuss different challenges that may arise while leading the team.
• What are different types of strategies a team leader can use to develop a high-performing team?
• Provide your recommendations for the best strategy you will use, as the leader of the team, to build a high-performing team and overcome challenges you may face when managing the team.

Your assigned readings for this week illustrate the developmental changes in the brain from conception through the teenage years. You likely thought of your own friends or family members as you read physiological explanations for specific behavior and/or tendencies in both the male and female brain. Continue to make mental note of these applications to your own life as you read!

Assignment Instructions

In your written assignment for this week, compare and contrast the male and female brain in the behavior of children and teenagers. Be sure to include information on the significant influence of hormonal changes in the brain during the early years of development!

After completing your comparison, include a section on the importance of knowing these similarities and differences when working with young clients in a clinical setting.

Your assignment should include an introduction, body and conclusion with a reference page listing the resources you cited. Include at least one paragraph for each of the following sections:

When to Ask: The Cost of Leaning In” by Exley et al (2019). You will analyze the paper

and relate it to the experiences of people around you.

Select a domestic terror group that has been active in recent years and describe it. If you have difficulty selecting an appropriate group, consider environmental groups, animal rights groups, ethnic hate groups, or anti-abortion groups. Your discussion of the selected group should cover the following:

• Provide a description of the group’s motivation, goals, and membership.
• Describe an example of an action that the group has taken that would meet the definitions of terrorism.
• Analyze whether this group is gaining strength. What are the factors that will influence whether this group grows in strength or weakens?
• Describe the efforts of law enforcement to combat the group.

Your strategic management white paper should answer the following prompt: Develop a white paper discussing strategies and best practices in strategic management that can be used to guide decision making. The target audience for your white paper is the leadership and management of a public or nonprofit sector organization; you should write the white paper with the idea that it could be presented to key decision-makers in a governmental agency or public or nonprofit organization.

Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
