write a memo 12

Your client, Mel Gordon, owns a steakhouse and sushi bar. He keeps his desk where he does the restaurant’s paper work in the back of the kitchen because there is not enough room for a separate office. The restaurant inspector demanded to see what was in the desk drawers because he said anything in the kitchen could potentially contaminate the food and he had to be sure there were no prohibited substances in the desk. He objected, but when he threatened to close the restaurant, he opened the drawers. The inspector found an illegal sawed-off shotgun the owner uses for protection. He is now being prosecuted for possession of an illegal weapon.

Attribution Theory and Performance

Prior to beginning this assignment, be sure to read Chapter 4: Cognition, Learning, and the Environment, and read the article “Extending Attribution Theory: Considering Students’ Perceived Control of the Attribution Process”, the Instructor Guidance, and view the following website The Critical Thinking Community (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. (http://www.criticalthinking.org/).

For this written assignment, you will demonstrate your understanding of attribution theory. In essence, attribution theory states that individuals tend to make sense of (logically prescribe) situations by associating them to self, others, thoughts, feelings, or actions. This theory suggests that learners should consider why they do what they do, and what or who they are giving credit for both the victories and the failures. Further, this theory suggests that if a person believes that they are not good at something, they may attribute their unsuccessful outcomes to external factors, rather than to themselves. In contrast, if individuals have success, they more often may attribute their successes to internal factors.

Using your required resources to support, discuss the following:

  • Describe a time where you feel you have failed and blamed someone else: the teacher, the friend, a loved one. (Failure could be academic, relational, and/or organizational – loss of a job.)
  • Do you believe that you blamed external things to support a more stable version of your own self-image? (In other words, it could not be your mistake). If not, what other reasons might external variables be attributed for our own performance?
  • How do think stability and controllability affect performance attributions, based on our reading this week?
  • Why do you think that self-efficacy plays such a critical role in how we process our learning behaviors?
  • What strategies could be applied to utilize what we know about self-perception and attributions to increase your learning performance in the future? (Minimum of two strategies.)

Suggested template.

marketing management 97

Assignment Details (Marketing Management)

Select a big national or international brand that has advertisements that feature a famous person or persons. Based on what you know about the brand, discuss the following:

  1. What does the brand mean to you? Do you have an emotional connection to the brand? Explain.
  2. Who is the target market for the brand? Are you part of the target market? Why?
  3. What celebrity or famous person endorses your brand? Is he or she a good fit for the brand? How does the celebrity connect with the target audience?
  4. How is the brand advertised to you? Does the company use a mix of promotional tools such as public relations, social media, and traditional options, such as commercials, YouTube videos, and so on? Explain.
  5. Who is the competition? Who or what do they use to endorse their product or service?

The following information is provided to help with your assignment:

Getting the message out about a product or service is essential to marketing success. Marketers often choose creative options to get the attention of the targeted customers. The goal of most advertising campaigns is to use a variety of media channels to saturate the marketplace about the brand. This is also known as integrated marketing communications (IMC).

Matching the media to the right customer segments is critical. For example, Millennials—those customers in their 20s and 30s—may find social media channels more relevant to find out more about the brand versus Generations Xers, who may still watch televisions commercials to find out more about the brand.

When developing the communications plan, marketers brainstorm these questions: How is your selected product or service being promoted? What media channels are used? Who is the target market(s)? What are competitors doing?

nutrition discussion water water everywhere which one safe to drink

1 original post (About 300 words), and 2 replies (about 150 words) for each are need.

For this discussion:

  • Do you feel any differently about the benefits of bottled water?
  • Which water would you drink? Tap? or Bottled? Tap using a Brita or Pur brand filter?
  • Did you learn anything new from any of the above information?
  • How might your choice of water be affected by this information?
  • What do you know about Bisphenyl A (BPA) in the bottled water you purchase? What advantage might there be using BPA-free plastic? Use this information for the next discussion, while viewing videos about water (the next discussion is extra credit, but the videos are worthwhile although one (Annie Leonard) is a bit over the top, though quite factual.
  • What is your view of the potential future of regulations? Do you think politics will play a part/impact water regulations?

I strongly urge the class to participate in the next discussion, which is where we can all further the conversation with news events such as those in Flint Michigan’s polluted (lead) river, and also some “localized” areas within the country also facing pollutants in the water table.

Feel free to also google valid web sites for more information on information you may post. Even more has happened to the EPA, much not positive. Save any comments about Flint, MI for Discussion 13. Again, I hope everyone makes time to view the documentary and valuable information links.
