essay poetry minimum 800 words

Select one of the following topics to discuss in a well-developed, coherent, and thoughtful essay of at least 800 words. Be sure to focus carefully on the topic, and remember that these are formal essays: they must have an appropriate, original title; contain an introduction, body, and conclusion; have a clear, explicit, assertive, objectively worded thesis statement (thesis statements must be underlined).

Essays must contain quotations from your sources, and these references should be used to support your assertions about the text and be properly documented (utilizing MLA-Style Citations for documentation).

Select one of the following topics:

OPTION 1: Select two poems that are both about the same subject matter: Nature, Art, Love, Sex, Age, Death or Mourning, War, Race, Gender. Compare and contrast the way the two treat the same theme. Your analysis should establish a clear connection between the two poems, beyond merely “They both discuss love” or “both refer to death”; rather, the connection should be based on similarities in situation, structure, language, imagery, theme, et cetera.

OPTION 2: Select a poem and a song that treats the same subject matter: Nature, Art, Love, Sex, Age, Death or Mourning, War, Race, Gender, and so on, and compare and/or contrast the way the two treat the same theme. As above, your analysis should establish a clear connection between the two works, beyond merely “They both discuss love” or “both refer to death”; rather, the connection should be based on similarities in situation, structure, language, imagery, et cetera.

If you were starting a new software development company and could locate it anywhere in the world, which place would you choose?

· Provide an explanation of the variables you would consider in selecting the country, and justify your rationale.

Here’s a sample.

If I was considering starting a new software company anywhere in the world, outside of the United States, I would consider Europe. The reason I would consider Europe is because there are many sanctions that protect the citizens and allow the ability to take risks without losing your whole nest egg. Because I currently work for a Global company, I’m in touch with my colleagues in the Netherlands and they have opportunities to build their own businesses and have the support from the government to ensure they are covered for health care. Health care in itself is extremely important because unless you are covered by an employer, the premiums can be astronomical, in the hundreds, if not thousands of dollars each month. Knowing that you have the freedom to possibly start your own business without the fear of not being able to pay for your own healthcare is extremely important. In America, COBRA can cost you almost $1000 a month. If you are not working or if you are in business for yourself, this is a huge amount to pay every month just to have insurance. Not having to worry about health insurance coverage in the Netherlands makes it a perfect place to start a software business, along with the knowledge that this European country primarily speaks English as well.
