The real-life case studies and the stories presented in the textbook and the movie about a leader that your analyzed can be a powerful way to understand leadership and make a lasting impact on your and those who are affected by your actions.

These include but are not limited to Qing China, the Russian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the France of Louis XIV, Spain, and England. Using any two of these for the purpose of comparison, discuss how these states/empires were organized and expanded. In what ways were they similar and where did they differ? How might we explain these differences? You may focus on politics, economics, the military, education, or another perspective you would like to explore. Remember, this is open book/open note so feel free to bring in whatever materials you think might be helpful

the ethics and legalities of medication error disclosure 3

American writer Nikki Giovanni once said: “Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to the error that counts” (Goodreads, 2012). Whenever you make an error when writing a prescription, you must consider the ethical and legal implications of your error—no matter how seemingly insignificant it might be. You may fear the possible consequences and feel pressured not to disclose the error. Regardless, you need to consider the potential implications of non-disclosure. How you respond to the prescription error will affect you, the patient, and the health care facility where you practice. In this Assignment, you examine ethical and legal implications of disclosure and nondisclosure of personal error.

Consider the following scenario:

  • You are working as an advanced practice nurse at a community health clinic. You make an error when prescribing a drug to a patient. You do not think the patient would know that you made the error, and it certainly was not intentional.
To prepare:
  • Consider the ethical implications of disclosure and nondisclosure.
  • Research federal and state laws for advanced practice nurses. Reflect on the legal implications of disclosure and nondisclosure for you and the health clinic.
  • Consider what you would do as the advanced practice nurse in this scenario including whether or not you would disclose your error.
  • Review the Institute for Safe Medication Practices website in the Learning Resources. Consider the process of writing prescriptions. Think about strategies to avoid medication errors.

Write a 3- page paper that addresses the following:

  • Explain the ethical and legal implications of disclosure and nondisclosure. Be sure to reference laws specific to your state.
  • Describe what you would do as the advanced practice nurse in this scenario including whether or not you would disclose your error. Provide your rationale.
  • Explain the process of writing prescriptions including strategies to minimize medication errors.

There are a variety of clinical laboratory tests and diagnostics typically used prior to and throughout pregnancy. The tests and diagnostics provide useful information from the time pregnancy is first considered through the initial days of the newborn’s life.

Discuss the most common screening test and diagnostics used throughout pregnancy and the purpose of the tests. When during pregnancy are tests performed and what is the protocol when an abnormal test or diagnostic is found?

Based on your example, to what extent does controversial art make a social contribution? Are governments ever justified in censoring art?

Power is the ability to yield desired outcomes or influence the conduct of another person. It is a capability to dominate the behavior of another person. Almost all great and famous leader has transformed this world by utilizing power. Leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, etc. had strong visions of the future.
