The course project has major assignments that will be due in Weeks 3 and 5. It will take more than a week’s effort to adequately complete them. Plan time to start the research and other work for those assignments earlier than the week in which they are due.  

The CEO of Savannah Engineering, Inspection and Insurance Company (SEIIC) often says, “Our most important asset walks out the door every night.” The company relies on the knowledge and skills of its employees for its success. Without its human capital, the company has little to offer its customers. As noted in the introduction to the case, SEIIC has been experiencing difficulty in meeting customer service expectations and is experiencing problems with retaining some of its most valuable employees. Building on your previous work in the case, you will need to analyze the critical HRM areas of training, performance management, and career management.

• Summarize key details about the case to date. What are the most important issues affecting SEIIC’s HRM? Your summary should be no more than one to two paragraphs. (Imagine that you are riding down the elevator with SEIIC’s CEO and she asks you to provide a high-level summary of what you’ve discovered so far. You have thirty seconds from the time she gets on the elevator until the time she gets off. What would you say?)

The third online discussion is about the objectives of a Scenic Designer.  A good design is not only aesthetically interesting to the production, but functional and connected to the director’s concept.  Before drawings are submitted and models are built, one of the first steps for a designer is research.  You will put your creative skills of design to work with the following assignment…

Once you have a clear understanding of what your organization needs, it is time to consider the interview process. This assignment is a continuation of the acquiring, developing, and leveraging employee process you have already been working on during this course. The interview process is an important step in hiring the right person for your organization.

For this assignment, develop an interview strategy you would consider using to interview and select the right candidate for your organization. You are required to use the job description you developed in the previous assignment. As you are developing your interview strategy, think about testing options that would benefit the interview process. The following must be included in your interview strategy (750 words):
