Social justice has been defined in different ways, but  the definitions usually include similar ideologies. As you study the  concept of social justice, you will come across some of the following  ideas:

• Historical inequities that affect current injustices should be  corrected until the actual inequities no longer exist or have been  perceptively “negated.”
• Wealth, power, and status should be redistributed for the good of the individual, the community, and the society.
• It is the responsibility of the government (or those who hold  significant power) to ensure a basic quality of life for all its  citizens. 

From country to country social justice is defined in  different ways, and the definitions usually include ideologies as well  as differences. Research the definition of social justice in the United  States using your textbook, the Argosy University online library  resources, and the Internet. Select another country to examine its  definition of social justice in order to analyze the ideologies and  similarities using the following steps:

1. Analyze the ideologies.
2. Identify the similarities.
3. Using your reasoning skills, give supporting statements or arguments that support your position(s) about the social justice.

Your comparing and contrasting must consider the following:

• Historical values and ideologies of the country
• Economic structure of the country
• Discrimination issues, if any exist

Develop a 2 page analysis of the definitions of social justice in  the U.S. and a country of your choice. Analyze the ideologies, identify  their similarities, and explain how these factors support your  statements or arguments about the social justice you’ve selected.  Support your explanations with a minimum of two scholarly sources in  addition to the course text and apply APA standards to citation of  sources.

1. For this assignment, you will continue using the Gail Industries Case Study.

   As the IT manager, you are working on the audit required for the SCOPE account.

   Complete the Audit Plan Worksheet by listing anticipated risks from the Gail Industries Case Study. Include the associated control objective and the proper audit strategy to validate the control objective identified.

   Using the completed audit plan, write a 1- to 2-page critique of the risk-based audit strategy for Gail Industries. Do the following in your critique:

   • Identify the risks to the organization and its IT assets.
   • Critique controls in place and the audit strategy (to verify the controls).
   • Identify any risks that are not covered by control objectives in your critique.
   • Format your citations according to APA guidelines.

To Prepare:

• This multiweek Assignment requires you to record your work in an individual blog within the classroom (your “log”) that will be accessible to both your peers and your Instructor at all times.
• To complete your blog entries, navigate to your blog in the Blogs area of the course menu.
• Click on Create Blog Entry.
• Title your blog using your name and the week. For example, “Smith_J Week 2.”
• In the Entry Message area, make an initial entry that very briefly states the purpose of your blog and the focus area on which you intend to concentrate.
• Click on Post Entry when you are finished. You will follow these steps for each blog entry.
• Access at least two listservs and at least two active blogs in order to follow topics and trends. These can be those listed in your weekly Learning Resources or those chosen on your own. Make weekly notes in your blog to capture topics and developments in the field. Your blog should include periodic reflection on the content.

Sources for your Environmental Scan: The Learning Resources list several listservs to which you can subscribe. You will need to conduct an Internet search for assessment and evaluation blogs. Do not assume that all blogs are equal; some are marketing tools by consultants that may not advance your knowledge. If you use websites as resources, be certain they are updated frequently and are not simply static repositories of information.

What to log: The purpose of a scan is to read and reflect on many sources of information. Realistically, however, you will not be able to reflect on all topics. Create your own heuristic technique for a simple tally of all topics that emerge; and in addition to that, select several topics to actually report on. Your report may take the form of synthesis of comments on these topics, or the report may compare and contrast the treatment of those topics on the different listservs and blogs.

Discussion 1: Attitude Formation

Advertisers successfully use classical conditioning strategies to persuade consumers. Imagine that you are an advertising manager. For this Discussion, imagine the following scenario:

You are the advertising manager at an agency that has been hired by a corporation preparing to launch a new product. Your assignment is to design an advertisement that promises to popularize the new product and ultimately boost the corporation’s profit margin. A national ad launch guarantees the new product will have wide visibility, putting pressure on you to deliver a message that will encourage consumers to purchase the product.

For this Discussion, you will apply classical conditioning strategies to an ad campaign and analyze the formation of attitudes by classical conditioning. 

To Prepare

• Review the Learning Resources for this week and consider classical conditioning strategies employed to create positive attitudes. 
• Also, consider how advertisers employ classical conditioning strategies to increase the desirability of their products.
• Create a fictional product not yet on the market and design an advertisement (i.e., print, radio, television, or some other type of media ad) that uses classical conditioning strategies. Search the Internet for ideas to guide you as you design an advertisement. 

By Day 3

Post a description of your fictional product and your advertisement. Describe the process by which classical conditioning creates favorable attitudes sufficient to encourage consumers to buy the product.
