The essay that I choose is “Dream of the Rood” which I have attached the documents.

For your second essay in this class, you will spend some time reflecting on one of the literary works assigned in the class from a Christian perspective.

Steps in the Process

• Choose a work assigned in this course that appeals to you from an emotional or aesthetic perspective.
• Read the work several times (maybe read parts of it aloud) making note of the features that seem particularly beautiful, inspiring, emotional, meaningful, or true. Consider the following questions:
  • How does the work help us better value goodness?
  • How does the work help us better understand Truth?
  • How does the work help us better recognize and appreciate beauty?
• Focus your thoughts into an argument about how the work of literature helps us better understand aspects of the Christian faith.
• Compose a thesis-driven, organized essay presenting your argument and using textual support for your points.

Notes

Although your essay will be thesis-driven, it is not a literary analysis. Do not simply pick a theme or a literary device and make an argument about that aspect of the work.

It will almost certainly be easier to do this assignment well if you choose a shorter piece of literature or a small section of a long work, rather than, for instance, the entirety of Julius Caesar.

You should not do any significant research on the literary work, since the assignment is on your own reflections about it.

Style and Length

Your essay should be written in correct MLA format, and it should be between 1000-1500 words long.

Minimum of two references (the course textbook must be one of the references) in APA format, must have been published within last 3-5 years.

The Requirements are as follows:

Choose an ethical mishap/unethical situation at workplace or from the external business, non-profit, healthcare, or government environment. The external unethical situation can be extracted from a current event in the national or global environment.

Provide 6-10 slides, depending on the number of participants.

1) Title Page –a) Name of Case Study, b) Name of Participants

2) Case Study — Provide the Facts of the Case (Unethical Situation)

3) Ethical Theory — What Ethical Theory Will Provide the Framework of the Analysis? What Ethical Practice Will Provide the Framework of the Analysis?

4) Analysis — Each Team Member Must Provide an Analysis – analyze the ethical theory in relation to the unethical situation

8) Conclusion: My Role as Leader — Each Team Member Must Provide a Minimum of 6 Sentences on What They See as the Role of Leader in Regards to this Case Study. What SHOULD the leader have done, which would have provided a different outcome? In addition, provide Action Steps that the leader could take that what begin to move the situation/organization toward filling the gap. Include 2 or 3 Action Steps that will change the trajectory – the current path — the current course of action — of the unethical behavior and the institution that may encourage the unethical behavior.

Identify and create sensory elements of visual media communication to attract viewer attention.

Scenario

You are a member of a committee at your child’s school. The committee has been assigned the task to design a flyer for the students to take home to their parents. The purpose of the flyer is to notify parents about the upcoming Field Day for all students. They have specified that it can only be one-page in length, and they have encouraged creativity to catch the eyes of the parents.

Several parents wish to participate, so the leader of the committee creates a fun flyer competition. She asks that each person creates his/her own flyer and create Talking points to persuade the committee to choose your flyer. The Talking Points need to be prepared so that someone could do a five minute presentation with your talking points. You also need to visually show the flyer and include an explanation in your talking points regarding why your flyer will best attract the eyes of the parents.

Since you are extremely creative, you know that in order to capture the parents’ attention and win this competition, you will need to use color, lines, balance, and contrast visual elements.

In your Talking Points, be sure to defend your visual choices to the other parents and members of the committee. You know that if you clearly explain why you chose each of these visual elements and how it best attracts the eyes of the parents, you could win this fun competition!

The Talking Points need to be prepared as if someone was going to talk for 5 minutes solely based on your talking points. So please attach a separate sheet of talking points and notes for the presentation 

Talking Points should be based on the Following Criteria

1. Analyzing effects of color on specified audience based on the Flyer you created.

2. Analyzing effects of lines on specified audience based on the Flyer you created.

3. Analyzing effects of balance on specified audience based on the Flyer you created.

4. Analyzing effects of contrast on specified audience based on the flyer you created.
