A. Based on your statement of the problem, a thorough review of the literature, and your analysis of the data regarding the risk behavior, provide recommendations for a behavior intervention that will reduce the major health risks and results of the behavior, justifying your recommendations with evidence. 

  

B. Recommend appropriate community health education and communication strategies that will help promote your behavioral change program.

C. Propose a program planning model and/or theory that would guide your behavior change intervention proposal.

D. Discuss the strategies you would employ in executing your project plan. In other words, describe in detail each step of your proposed implementation. Who are the key stakeholders with whom you would need to collaborate? How would you help to inform decisions about resource allocation?

  

E. Similarly, discuss how you would evaluate the project and its outcomes, being specific in terms of timeline and any data collection or evaluation tool that may be used and considering whether there are any proprietary issues with tools you are using, whether any permissions need to be obtained for use, etc.

Think of your local community. What health-related issue currently affects a large number of people within your community? How could research help address this issue? How would you go about articulating a plan to obtain more data on the health-related issue you identified?

This is an opportunity for you to explore the practical application of how to articulate a plan to obtain data on a health-related topic , specifically in your community. Please respond in first person, share personal experiences, and ask questions to further develop your understanding of how evidence-based practice can affect health-related issues at the community level.

When you write an argument, you are faced with a number of rhetorical choices; you have to decide which arguments will be most effective in persuading your audience and what kind of language is most appropriate for them. If you decided to convert your written argument into an electronic argument (i.e. a website or other web document), you would be faced with a multitude of additional rhetorical choices. You would have to consider what images might work best with your argument. You must decide what color scheme would best complement your tone and style.  You should ask yourself if you should include links to other sites and what those sites suggest about your own ethos.

In this assignment, you will examine a website and the choices made by its creator; in other words, you will be writing a rhetorical analysis of a website. While analyzing the website, you must create an argument to show how the creator’s visual design choices affect the author’s ability to effectively reach his/her audience.

In your essay, you might focus your claim around one of the following questions (these are examples and should not limit what you might argue):

• What is the purpose of the website and did it succeed in achieving its goals?  What elements in the design and text either helped it succeed or kept it from doing so?
• Does the website claim to be for one audience but really speak to another?  Is this a failure on the part of the website?
• Does the website include content that contradicts or undermines its overall claim?  How does this affect the website’s ability to achieve the author’s purpose?

You should not pick just any website for this assignment. You must pick a website that advocates a particular point of view; rather than a social networking or shopping website, you should choose a website that is clear in its purpose to persuade. You do NOT have to pick a website that is necessarily credible; addressing the ethos of the writer might be something you need to address in your analysis to show why the website lacks credibility. As part of this weeks lesson, you read TR-049 High-Rise Office Building Fire One Meridian Plaza and TR-082 Operational Considerations for Highrise Firefighting. Using the information you gained in those readings write a paper on the following:

On Saturday, February 23, 1991, the Philadelphia Fire Department received an alarm for a fire in the 38-story high-rise One Meridian Plaza. This twelve alarm fire would take over 18 hours to control and take the life of three firefighters before the thirtieth floor sprinkler system stopped the vertical spread. This was just one in a series of high-rise incidents which demonstrated problems unique to these structures.

1. Considering all the problems noted in the technical reports, which do you believe to be the problem or problems that caused the most difficulties at this fire.

Then, considering the pressure reducing devices that are used in high-rises:
