Chapter 10: From this chapter, in addition, the previous ones, we continue to enhance our knowledge and understanding about IG best business practices, and how good data governance can ensure that downstream negative effects of poor data can be avoided and subsequent reports, analyses, and conclusions based on reliable, and trusted data could be achieved.  From the risk management perspective, data governance is a critical activity that supports decision makers and can mean the difference between retaining a customer and losing one.  On the same token, protecting your business data is protecting the lifeblood of your business, and improving the quality of the data will improve decision making, foster compliance efforts, and yield competitive advantages; thence business profits would be earned.  To provide meaningful support to business owners, the Data Governance Institute has created a data governance framework, a visual model to help guide planning efforts and a logical structure for classifying, organizing, and communicating complex activities involved in making decisions about and taking action on enterprise data. 

Q1: With this framework in mind that allows for a conceptual look at data governance processes, rules, and people requirements identify and name the 10 levels of the DGI Data Governance framework from the Data Governance Institute?

The goal of this assignment is to give you the experience of collecting and analyzing data from a second language (L2) learner.

There is a template you need to follow in APA format, Data sets you will need to analyze carefully from both the L1 (baseline native English speaker, and L2 English learner. You will need to analyze the interference and transfer from the L1 native language, Chinese, onto their learning of the L2, English. Your focus will be primarily on the VERB conjugations(past and progressive) and NOUN pluralizations! see attached documents. 

Quick note: Chinese does NOT conjugate verbs nor does it pluralize nouns. This is why I am focusing on the interference of the L1 on the learning of the L2

 In this Reflection paper, you’ll spend some time thinking about how the Public Health system should work during a crisis (the COVID-19) pandemic versus how the system does work. This week you are reading about disaster response and emergency management (including pandemic response) in a chapter taken from an academic textbook. You will then choose one of the two options in which the COVID-19 pandemic is discussed in another medium or forum. In your Reflection, you should think about what “matches” the textbook outline of the public health system response and what differs, and why. 

 Combination of news articles provided(one long form discussion article + several short news briefs) that cover the COVID-19 pandemic as it is currently unfolding. If you choose this option, I’d like you to focus on identifying the impact(s) of political and policy decisions.
