For this assignment, write a paper in which you evaluate the role of faculty in a particular community college. Include in the discussion the context of the community college in which the faculty are engaged. Also address the following in your paper:

  • Describe their primary responsibilities, and then discuss their role in the governance of the institution.
  • Discuss the educational background and preparation of these faculty members and the special challenges face as they work to educate this population and prepare them for further study and the workforce.
  • Compare and contrast your findings with the professional literature in the field, including but not limited to the recommended text and other periodical literature in higher education.
