Identify the two levels of determinants that you feel have the most impact on health (individual, household, community, etc.).

• Once you have selected your levels, conduct your own research and discuss what factors associated with those levels support your claim that they have the most impact on health.
  • Use scholarly research to support your reasoning.
• Next, choose a health factor related to one of the determinants from one of your classmates’ tables and assess the impact of that determinant on the nation’s health.
  • For example, if your classmate chose age as the determinant under the Individual level, some health issues related to age are osteoporosis, vision, and hearing loss, Alzheimer’s disease, poor decision making, or juvenile diabetes.
  • Use scholarly research to support your assessment.
• Propose a new initiative to address this health factor you chose.
  • Include information on your target audience, population size, predominant locations, etc.
  • Use scholarly research to support your reasoning.
• Recommend two links or pathways between the levels of determinants that will be appropriate for your initiative given the target audience and location you identified.
  • For example; if you chose Age as your health factor under the Individual level, then discussing Household and National initiatives could be appropriate.
  • Use scholarly research to support your reasoning for each link/pathway.
• Justify how the links you identified between the levels will better address the health factor you researched.

The Impact of Determinants on Health paper
