Part1) Police cooperation is vital for combating transnational crime. However, according to Reichel (2013), several nations fear working together because “they my lose a degree of sovereignty”. Do you agree with that fear of loss of a degree of sovereignty?Provide an example of when police cooperation may not be beneficial. Provide a brief description and an example of harmonization and approximation. Based on your earlier stance on whether that is a reasonable fear, what argument would you make to a nation’s leaders to either encourage them to increase their international police cooperation, or discourage them from continuing their cooperation?
