In Week 1, you chose a topic area and problem or challenge within that area. Throughout this course, you have researched the dynamics of the problem. The final piece of your project is to develop a viable solution that considers resources, policy, stakeholders, organizational readiness, administrative structures and other internal and external factors, as applicable. Using the papers you have written throughout this course, consolidate your findings into a succinct project.

Write a ten (10) page paper that as a minimum, your project should include:

  1. Identify the topical area (e.g., local police department, community jail, border patrol)
  2. Define a problem or challenge within your topical area that you understand in some depth or have an interest in (examples include high crime rate, poor morale, high levels of violence or recidivism, high number of civilian complaints of harassment, inadequate equipment).   3. Describe how internal or external stakeholders have influenced the situation in a positive or negative way. How will you consider stakeholders in your solution to the problem? How will you motivate individuals to buy into your solution?

You will choose a business to observe either as an employee or as a customer/client. During this course, you will observe and evaluate the organization based on information you have learned about organizational culture. Be sure to refer to the articles you have read during this unit as well as the multimedia presentation about Company Culture in the Learning Activities area for Unit 6.

The Assignment will be comprised of a PowerPoint with narration about your experiences in the observation and your analysis of the organization. In addition, a transcript of the narration will also be needed to be included.

NOTE: The narration is a required element of this assignment and must be included to earn a grade for this assignment.

Bulleted Points on each slide should include brief points that identify the areas that will be addressed in the narration.

Your PowerPoint presentation should include a total of six slides using the following format:

Slide 1: Cover page that includes assignment title, your name, course, section number, and date.

      • Compare the work done at the company and the organizational culture and explain how this relates.
      • Research the mission of the company and explain if it aligns with what you have observed. Explain why or why not.

Slide 5: Evaluation of Your Fit (1–2 minutes of narration)

  • Based solely on what you have observed and researched about the company (not based on the field of the company), do you feel you would be a good fit for this company? Why or why not?
    • Support this information with what you have learned through your observation as well as what you have researched about the company.

The war had various effects on Southern and Northern societies. For instance, the cotton became more commercially successful in the southern society which highly exercised control over the region’s economy, persuading planters and farmers (affluent farmers with large number of acres whereby a significant number of slaves worked on) into the new states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Arkansans (Shi, 2018). The expansion of cotton culture in the southern society into its new regions and nations needed increasing the number of enslaved workers of which most of them were given in part-exchange and relocated from Virginia and the Carolinas.

In the meantime, Northern encountered an industrial revolution that remodeled the economy of the region as factories and mills started to spot the aspect and change the sum and substance of work; a majority of the early mill workers were mostly women of very young age from the farms or overseas. In the parts of the North and Midwest, a built-up middle class appeared as Americans left the farms behind and went cities and towns; they went there particularly for jobs which were in new factories, banks, and mills.

The war changed the nation in several primary ways. For instance, the economy of the United States increased to a great extent. The considerable improvement in transportation and communication changed the economy into interconnected countrywide market regions (Shi, 2018). Meanwhile, the state started to split into three strong regional alliances- South, North, and west –whose changing groups would model political life up to the time of the civil war.
