Collection of newsprint articles: Each student will summit TWO newsprint articles related to Sociology issues in the Society. Each review should be presented in two parts. The first part should contain the student’s name, class time and day, title of the article, name of the journal or newspaper, author of the article and detail

In the second part of the assignment, an in depth critique should be presented stating if you agree or disagree with the theme of the author(s) and explain why. Explain which Sociological Perspectives (Functionalist, Conflict or symbolic interactionist) would best describe this article and why?

Each article should be no less than three typed written pages and no more than four typed written pages. Double-spaced, 12-point font.

Write: Based on your quiz results and what you learned in Chapter 7, section 7.2 and Chapter 8, section 8.3 of the textbook, answer the following questions:

• What is your willingness-to-listen score? What feedback did you receive from the quiz?
• Based on Bevan and Sole, describe “active empathic listening” and define “emotional intelligence.”
• How can you use active empathic listening and emotional intelligence to help you improve your communication both in your personal interactions and in the workplace? Please provide examples to illustrate these points.

Thoroughly address all three elements of this prompt by writing at least two to three sentences on each element. Use the course readings at least once to help you make your points. Consider copying and pasting these tasks into a word file and addressing each of them separately.

One article must present arguments advocating for American prison privatization and the second article must present arguments against American prison privatization. Provide a critique of each author’s position on the privatization of prisons.  From a Christian worldview, critique the current state of private prisons and present a clear argument on how to fix the system.
