Part 1: Project Plan

Submit a Project Plan, to include the following:

 Topic – Choose one: Mary, costly discipleship, the death of Jesus, the kingdom of God, or the Gentiles.

Thesis – What is the central message/argument of the paper? See the APU Writing Center resource Thesis Statements for help.

Resources – The paper must reference:

o The Drama of Scripture;

o The accompanying topic article found in the course;

o Two additional sources from the APU Library; see the APU Writing Center’s

Research Tips and Resources for suggestions about finding good resources. o NOTE: In APA style, classical works – including the Bible – are not listed in the

References page. Embed biblical citations within the text as follows: “Then Jesus called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal” (Luke 9:1-2, NRSV). Only indicate the Bible version in the first citation; it is not necessary to identify each citation as NRSV.

 Outline – Organize the paper to address the following four assignment questions:

1. How does the topic (Mary, costly discipleship, the death of Jesus, the kingdom of

God, or the Gentiles) connect to the larger themes of creation, fall, and

redemption within the overarching story of the Bible?

2. What is important to know about the history, culture, and/or theology surrounding

this person or concept?

3. What was the original meaning of this concept or significance of this

person/people within Luke/Acts?

4. What insights gained could be meaningful for our context today?

Assignment Expectations

 Submit the assignment in Times New Roman 12-point font.

 The Project Plan is 2 pages in length.

 Outline identifies the introduction/thesis statement, at least four main ideas, and 3-4 sub-

points beneath each main idea.

 List references in APA format.

Assume you have a position as database administrator in a large corporation. The company has been collecting data about employees, including monitoring their working habits by recording their keystrokes, timing their telephone interactions with clients, and scanning their e-mail for personal correspondence. As database administrator (DBA), you are asked to help establish a record-keeping system to store such data. Does the company have a legal right to perform this kind of monitoring? Explain your professional responsibility in this situation. Discuss provisions within the ACM and IEEE Codes of Ethics that can be used to guide you.

Topic –  Sexual and Reproductive Dimensions of Women’s Health 

 

A research paper is to be written on one of the categories that is of greatest interest to the student.  This allows the student a lot of freedom and creativity to use graphs or illustrations.

This paper must be written in APA style. The body of the paper must be a minimum of 3 content pages but not more than 4 pages.  This paper is to be double-spaced with one inch margins all around in a 12 point font. It should include a title page, an abstract, in-text citations where appropriate, and must contain a separate reference page (per APA format). Grammar and spelling must be correct.

APA style is a form of writing academic papers that keeps the paper objective. It is written in the third person. There is no use of “I, me, my, you, yours, us, we, our,” or similar pronoun. There are no abbreviations or slang terms.  It is a formal style of writing. Remember, the author is a reporter conveying information as objectively as possible.

This paper must include at least three references (not including the textbook) of which at least one should be a peer-reviewed journal article from the EU library.

This assignment will be graded according to the final criteria:

20%: Correct and relevant content pertaining to course

20%: Correct spelling/grammar of all information presented

20%: Clarity of thought, expression and presentation

20%:  Length and correct use of APA style and format

20%:  References

 

Using the module readings, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, respond to the following:

• What are the major drivers or motivators that influence your  performance at work, at school, or in social situations? How are these  related to content or process theories of motivation?
• How would you go about determining the best way to motivate a group  of your employees who you suspect have different drivers or motivators?  What process theory of motivation could you employ to help you with this  challenge?

Search the internet to find two works of art from the Renaissance through the 17th century, one by an Italian artist and one by a Dutch artist. Compare and contrast these two works and discuss significant influences on their painting styles. Provide links to these works. Minimum: one page double spaced.
