tensions between iran and the west following samuel huntington s clash of civilizations argument
Prompt #1:
In the past weeks following the killing of Iranian Major General Qassim Suleimani there has been an escalation of tension between the U.S. and Iran. These events are part of a longer history of tensions between Iran and countries in the West. Following Samuel Huntington’s “clash of civilizations†argument the tension with Iran could be interpreted as evidence of a larger conflict between East and West. Do you agree? Explain your answer with reference to the global issues we have covered thus far in the course.
