Each student will individually conduct research on human resources practices within an organization.
The student will select one HR topic from the textbook such as selection, recruitment, compensation, training or development etc., then identify a company of his/her choice and then collect information about the selected HR topic within the company.
For instance, if the student selects recruitment topic and identifies Walmart company, then s/he needs to find out information about recruitment practices within Walmart and then write the research project.
The student can use any type of data collection methods: interviews or survey or secondary internet-based research. The method needs to be mentioned in the research project.
Submit a typed report of at least 3 pages excluding the covering sheet and reference page. Make sure your report follows this format:
Introduction: write about the company
2nd paragraph: write about the HR topic
3rd paragraph: write about the HR topic in the context of your company
4th paragraph: your conclusion
The entire report will be in 1 ½ line spacing, 12 font, New Times Roman. Use appropriate headings and sub-headings in your report to make it readable.
Information directly copied and pasted from the internet will not be accepted and will be assessed as per Plagiarism guidelines mentioned within the syllabus.
