Two Short Discussion Board Questions.

• Messages to the community are usually one of two categories: newsworthy or noteworthy. From your organization, share with your class at least one example of each group. Which one had the most reaction in the community?
• RESPOND to this student’s post: (Jared) A newsworthy event that I was directly involved in was an ambulance crash, my one and only time to ever make the front page of a newspaper. On the other hand, there have been multiple noteworthy occasions like the completion of our first EMT class, new equipment, or community educational classes. Luckily, a lot of my career was in a small community where the newspaper often used our events to help fill space so we had a lot of the noteworthy items published in a newspaper wherever they may have had some white space to fill. Our newsworthy events almost always garnered more attention from the local community. We benefited from a large support system throughout the community but most of our noteworthy accomplishments were not appreciated by the citizens, I think at least in part due to lack of knowledge.
