Read the following scenario:

Imagine that your Learning Team is the planning unit in your local police department. The chief of police has told you that a philanthropist in town is considering giving a $100,000 grant to a worthy cause in the department. The chief has charged your team with recommending how, when, and where that money will be spent.

Create a professional business presentation, and a clear and concise executive summary of your budget plan.

  • The executive summary must completely and accurately summarize your presentation to the chief.
  • The presentation must be approximately 15 to 20 minutes in length and include 10 to 12 slides.
  • All team members must participate in the presentation. The goal is to sell your recommendation to the chief.

List major points in the slides using “bullet points,” keeping text to a minimum. Provide comprehensive explanations during a classroom presentation. Include videos, audio, photos, diagrams, or graphs as appropriate.

Format your presentation consistent with APA guidelines (include introduction & conclusion, reference slides, and in-text citations). The format for your executive summary will be left up to your team. Make sure it is professional looking and appropriate for the task.
