buddhism discussion 2

Explore what it means to be a member of the sangha. What is the typical day for a Buddhist monk or nun? What types of activities are common to their way of life? Are there any specific tools they use in their religious practices? If so, what function do they serve? Are there different levels of participants within a Buddhist monastic community? You can also explore how one becomes a monk or nun, and the level of commitment required. Keep in mind that there are different expressions of the sangha based on denomination and/or geographical location, so be sure to identify the community of the Buddhist monastic that you are presenting. Along these lines, you can also choose to compare and contrast the various group’s practices. Just be sure to clearly identify the groups you are addressing. You don’t have to address all of this, these are just some topics to consider as you explore the sangha.

Before writing on this topic, you should research the sangha and Buddhist monastic practices. This is because you are required to do research in association with each of the discussion topics so that you can provide well-informed opinions. Ensure that you provide original writing (do not copy the words of your sources) and that the citations are in proper MLA format
