Share with us the most significant media event you have experienced (via the media, not in person). For example, most of us remember the 9/11 attacks and the media coverage of that event, recalling how that day changed society as we knew it. In thinking of another event covered by the media, answer the following questions:

  • Via what medium(media) did you see/hear/otherwise experience the event?
  • What was the experience like?
  • What is/was its cultural significance, and what is its lasting impression on you?
