The purpose of this assignment is to relate chemistry concepts learned in this course to applications in health care.
You will submit your Final Project based upon one of the formats outlined in the Project Information Requirements.
Your Final Project will be graded on the following criteria:
Project meets requirements of designated format (Powerpoint, Website, or Article) (1 point)
Introduction/Purpose (5 pts)
Topic is clearly identified
Purpose is clearly stated or indicated
Gains the audience attention/interest
Scope of information (30 pts)
Clear integration of chemistry concepts covered in this course
Clear articulation of chemistry concept
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of health care application
Provides a specific example of the health care application
Information is relevant, evidence-based, and accurate
Information is at appropriate level for intended audience
Presentation (12 pts)
Logical organization of information
Balanced presentation of text, images, illustrations, etc. Must include a minimum of 2 relevant images of educational value.
Easy to read and follow visually
Main points/sections clearly delineated
Free from grammar, spelling, punctuation errors
Information is presented in a professional manner
Bibliography (4 pts)
All sources meet credible and/or scholarly requirement
Properly formatted references
Free from spelling and punctuation errors
All sources used are cited within presentation
Summary Paper (8 points)
Briefly explains rationale/education need for topic
Addresses what was learned from competing the project
Double-spaced, 1-inch margins, Times or Arial font 12-point
Free from errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure
