Written Report (50%): Students will identify three common myths concerning some aspect of sexuality and/or sexual offending. Students identify each myth (one sentence), then write a paragraph or two discussing why each myth is not necessarily true. Students should find and cite (using APA or ASA format) several high quality academic sources (beyond basic course readings) used to refute each myth. Papers that do not use academic sources, such as journals listed in the syllabus below, will result in a failing grade for this assignment. Students should use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar in their report.

Undergraduate students will identify three common myths concerning some aspect of sexuality and/or sexual offending. Students identify each myth (one sentence), the write a paragraph or two discussing why each myth is not necessarily true. Students should find and cite (using APA or ASA format) several high-quality academic sources (beyond basic course readings) used to refute each myth. In order to pass this assignment, academic sources must be utilized (see the list of academic journals in the syllabus). This is the major assignment for the course and is worth 50% of total grade. Students should use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar in their report. This written assignment is not long, but requires excellent quality rather than quantity
