Consider your own upbringing and the upbringing of a currently serving elected official who shares a similar socialization. Explain how you were similarly socialized. What experiences and people were important in shaping your political values and the political values of your chosen official? Find one policy this official supports with which you disagree. Explore why you and your chosen official have differing views on this policy in spite of your similar socialization. Be sure to cite references as required.
