reading journals on some english readings

This journal is designed as a more informal assignment than your other papers. It provides an opportunity for you to reflect on your personal response to these readings. Please address the works that evoke the strongest reaction from you, whether positive or negative. You do not need to address every text on our syllabus, but you should include at least one work from each week’s readings. Be sure to offer brief supporting quotes as you respond to each text. (Part 1 should cover the readings for Weeks One/Two through Six; Part 2 should cover the readings for Weeks Eight through Thirteen.) Questions to consider:

The Reading Journal should be double spaced, written in Times New Roman (12 pt. font), and have 1-inch margins.

  1. How does this text confirm, challenge, or expand my prior understanding or experience?
