research paper chapter 26 quot the politics of gender quot
I am choosing to do my research paper in Chapter 28, Section 6 “The Politics of Gender†The section was interesting to me because women were able to control family planning with birth control and female employment, including married women, were on a rise. The other section is 7 “The Expanding Civil Rights Movement, 1953-1963†This section touched on how segregation violated the equal protection clause of the 14Th Amendment.
Thesis Statement updated: While The Civil Rights movement allowed the women’s movement both believed they fought against dismantling of oppressive forces, Civil rights focused on the oppression of African Americans while the women’s movement worked to change gender roles.
