data centres; what are the different aspects of it and specific implications for organisations.

other industry/ies; uses relevant industry and academic literature; makes use of relevant theory (one or two

could be sufficient); takes the notion of CSR/corporate citizenship under consideration when discussing

solutions to the issues under investigation.

Using current material from the academic literature as well as the broader media and populist resources, you must compare and contrast

contemporary responses and solutions adopted to this factor from a DC perspective with the experience of at least one other

organisational sector (this must be non-DC specific) e.g.  retail etc. Discuss how the responses and

solutions could or could not be embraced within the DC sector, highlighting specific challenges for leaders and managers (60-80% of the

main body). Evaluate the solutions, their relevance and applicability to DC context; potential strengths and weaknesses; cons

implications; implications for leaders and managers.

During your discussion you need to integrate the concept of corporate social responsibility and how this may affect possible solutions to

be adopted within the Data Centre sector. Could be incorporated in any or both of the above sections.

▶ Conclusion & recommendations – the conclusion summarises the main discussion; draws the work to aclose; links back to the purpose/aims and objectives; The recommendations – make practical suggestions.

Produce 3-4 recommendations, drawing on the range of academic theory and learning you have covered in the course to date, to address
